Dutch Wonderland

Our last Field Trip of the 2008-2009 School Year was Dutch Wonderland. Amazingly, when we arrived at 10am, the rain stopped for a full 2 & 1/2 hours. Students had a great time, though it went too quickly for them!

A slightly blurry trip to the LANCASTER SCIENCE FACTORY

Today we went to the Lancaster Science factory which is conveniently located a short walk from Lincoln. The students had a great time checking out all of the hands on exhibits including: building your own gravity racer, building an arch, constructing a dam to stop a flow of water, and many other fun activities. The whole class had a great time. Unfortunately, the camera got knocked to "macro" and a few of the pictures are a bit blurry. Next Thursday is our last Field Trip to DUTCH WONDERLAND!

GAIN Network Volunteer Work Site

This first post is a little late. It took a while to get permission forms and our website set up! Our class went to GAIN near Mount Joy, PA on 02/24/09 to volunteer at the GAIN warehouse. We spent the day sorting clothes for needy families. It was a very successful day and the students enjoyed working there to help others. Afterwards we rewarded ourselves with a trip to McDonald's
